SARPASS-3

The First purpose of the SARpass trek was to expose the YHAI members to a greater adventure and to rough out the rigors of plodding through snow with a sense of love for nature and outdoor recreational activity aiming at promoting national integration. It starts with my long days dream to feel the snow covered foot hills of himalayas ......."Once in a lifetime experience." a change was all wanted to and we did. One would in truth well bury the daily routine with same work, faces, roads. pollution and same old beers joints the movement u land in the foot hills of himalayas - "The Truly Heaven".
The weather wasn't kind when we landed in Delhi the capital at 2' in the night was hot but managed. But truth for guys is the delhi's cute looking girls u find everywhere would make u realy refreshing but not actually what we wanted, So it starts our actual journey to the base camp at Kasol - elevated at 6500ft ASL in Himachal tourisium bus.
We were in SP-4 but managed to get 2 SP-3 with other gang of bangalorians who were in SP-3. The need of company was found after long journey Arun, Murali, Pritham, Vinay, Jatin, Vivek and Seshu :)))) all techies from bang…. But later we found other people from the same group.
Our first trek to guna pani camp elevated at 8500ft ASL with experience of heal stone rain in himalayas was realy tempted to feel the snow at first day itself with shivering cold thanks to the crew, porters and cooks were total superstars nothing ran out .....bed tea, soups was not a minute early or late. I can't say enough to praise the hard work these people put in ...... for our comfort.
This is actually meant to be about trekking... and trekking is actually is more a social then a physical thing.
The temptation is just too much, at last we reached tilaloutni located at 12600ft ASL after walking in snow and rain with aching limbs, smiling faces peering from folks and loving a place so much that I wanted ever knew and cared for to share it with others. It really was that good.....
Then journey started to our highest peak in the expedition to SARPASS elevated at 13800ft ASL was realy dashing with steep snow cliffs freezing but no other go Was finally on top ..the heavenly place As time constrain we headed to the next base camp with first snow slide with fearing and exciting on folks faces...was realy a good experence.... but it just kept on going and going. Endless valleys....
Huge rewards for those intrepid enough; an ancient culture and scenery to rival the himalayan region. A classic trek, classic expedition style from the middle hills to the base camp where snow rumble and glaciers groan on the world's highest mountain range. but ....as it was not enough, we finally reached the base camp at Kasol on 12th may 08.......
Off the map literally! Really was out there, absolute classic with a wonderful bunch of people ……..
